NUS IT Report Card 2023

NUSCHAT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ChatGPT has captured global attention, including within the NUS community. While ChatGPT can serve as a valuable productivity tool to our staff, it also presents certain inherent risks, such as sensitive data exposure, privacy concerns, and security and compliance issues. In response to these challenges, NUS IT has established an enterprise ChatGPT using Microsoft Azure’s OpenAI service called NUSChat.

NUSChat elevates productivity and streamlines administrative processes while maintaining strict adherence to NUS policies. It also offers seamless integration with a spectrum of business applications in the NUS ecosystem. NUSChat is built upon the powerful GPT-4 platform, ensuring staff receive precise and contextually consistent responses. NUS data was also used to fine-tune GenAI model, allowing NUSChat to have knowledge about NUS without fundamentally modifying the models with our data.
