Zoom as replacement for Skype for Business

In October 2023, we completed the migration of telephony services for all NUS staff from Skype for Business to Zoom Phone . Designed for the mobile-first user in mind, Zoom Phone offers a simple and intuitive user interface, and a secure and reliable connection for greater communications mobility on-the-go. Staff can enjoy improved collaboration experiences and increased productivity with capabilities such as seamless integration with NUS apps, with the added capaability to setup and manage their own NUS hotlines.

Qlik to Power BI Migration This migration represents a strategic transition to setup a long term sustainable Enterprise BI Platform that is integrated with NUS processes, compliant with NUS policies and can support heavy-load enterprise analytics system processing for the 10,000 NUS staff in self-service mode. NUS is one of the first IHLs in Singapore to successfully migrate to Power BI service with a setup of such scale and configuration. Notably, five legacy enterprise analytics systems were migrated within just 16 months by inhouse resources at zero vendor cost. Significant cost savings were achieved (~S$500,000 for 2023), compared to previous Qlik platform, despite a growing Power BI community due to its very reasonable cost structure.
