A shining testament to the success of our programme is Jason Ng Chin Seang, a former intern turned full time staff member. Having undergone two consecutive internships with NUS IT, Jason played a pivotal role alongside the Network team in enhancing NUS’ network infrastructure. Following his graduation, he transitioned seamlessly to the Application Development (.NET) team, showcasing adaptability and a resolute commitment to professional development. As we reflect on the accomplishments of our interns and the transformative journey of individuals like Jason, we remain committed to providing enriching opportunities for young talents and fostering an environment where innovation and collaboration thrive. SWIFT (Student Workforce IT) SWIFT is our soon-to-be-launched part-time student worker programme and has been strategically crafted to cater to the fluid schedules of our students with a variety of available short term jobs. This initiative reflects our commitment to adaptability and collaboration, offering a flexible working framework that aligns seamlessly to both student and organisational needs. The programme boasts a robust and comprehensive framework that incentivises student workers based on their contributions, reinforcing a culture of recognition, reward and the creation of learning opportunities for our students. As we eagerly anticipate its launch this year, students can look forward to a myriad of flexible work opportunities across different teams in NUS IT while gaining valuable real world work experience.
