TEA WITH CITO

To foster a positive onboarding experience for our newcomers, we introduced a comprehensive onboarding program this year. A series of pulse checks at the 30, 60, and 90-day milestones ensure regular check-ins, each accompanied by a team bonding activity to build camaraderie. At the 90-day mark, we hold Tea with CITO sessions, a platform for newcomers to engage our CITO directly as well as peers from other teams. This informal setting serves as a safe space for candid feedback, allowing our staff to establish a support network and overcome hierarchical barriers, thereby reinforcing NUS IT’s commitment to cultivating an inclusive and collaborative culture.

DO YOUR BIT FOR CHARITY

In 2021, we initiated the Do your bIT for charITy campaign, introducing bITbIT (NUS IT’s mascot) merchandise for sale within the NUS community of staff and students. This year’s sale is our 3rd instalment, featuring a range of memorable and practical items, including gym towels, eco bags, shoulder bags, gadget organisers, and bITbIT plushies by popular demand. A total of $19,000 comprising merchandise sales and donations will be donated to the NUS Enhanced Financial Aid Scheme (EFAS) to support our undergraduates. We express our gratitude to our NUS staff and students, as well as our partners for their generous contributions, without which this impactful charitable endeavour would not have been possible.
