NUS Wi-Fi On the Move seizes the opportunity for high-speed, reliable internet access, catering to remote learners, field researchers, and staff needing seamless connectivity to NUS Wi-Fi. By extending secure NUS Wi-Fi beyond the campus to all of Singapore, this ground-breaking initiative ensures ultra-reliable connectivity everywhere. Piloted on 1 August 2023 and launched in 2024, this project leverages 5G technology to deliver lightning-fast internet, building on our award-winning outdoor Wi-Fi solution. Available to all within the NUS community,

it addresses the need for consistent and secure Wi-Fi connectivity. This pioneering leap sets a new benchmark for nationwide wireless services, ensuring users remain safely connected and productive anywhere, anytime. NUS Wi-Fi on the Move has transformed NUS into a truly borderless institution, revolutionising digital education and operations. The project has won multiple awards, including the SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2024 and the OpenGov Asia Singapore Recognition of Excellence 2024.
