NUS embarked on a major transformation with the migration from nBox, our on-premises file storage system, to NUS Dropbox, a leading content collaboration platform. This initiative marks one of the most significant IT upgrades in NUS’ history. Nearly 13,000 staff are now equipped with NUS Dropbox and can enjoy a wide range of useful features and benefits such as Native MS Co-Authoring, ‘As-much-as-you-need’ storage for team folders, multi-platform support, and many more. This project is groundbreaking not only for its scale but also for its innovative approach. NUS is the first organisation globally to tackle a backend migration of this magnitude from Hitachi to Dropbox, developing a custom migration tool to ensure a smooth transition. This upgrade revolutionises daily productivity and also redefines how NUS approaches digital collaboration, empowering staff with advanced tools to thrive in an increasingly connected and flexible work environment.
