NUS IT Report Card 2025 (Letter For Provost)
A special edition for Provost
Threads of Tomorrow | 0 1
Dear Provost, As we look back on the past year, I am pleased to share a special curation of pages from our 2025 Report Card, themed “Threads of Tomorrow: Weaving the Future Together”. It captures our core belief at NUS IT – that every idea, skill, and partnership is a vibrant thread in the tapestry we are weaving. These pages highlight how NUS IT and our academic colleagues have continued to elevate the student experience across the University. They feature the key milestones across our NextGeneSIS programme and the positive impact they are creating with our academic partners. At the heart of these efforts is the belief that a student’s journey is not defined by any single moment, but by a series of touchpoints that shape how they learn and grow throughout their time at NUS. From their first enquiry to their eventual paths as alumni and lifelong learners, each interaction deepens their confidence and sense of belonging. In 2025, we continued to grow NUSHub as the connective fabric for student engagement, unifying outreach, admissions and services L3AP further streamlined lifelong learning operations, enabling schools and departments to set up courses and enrol learners much faster. With Give.NUS, we introduced a modern and intuitive platform that fosters meaningful giving and strengthens our engagement with our donor community.
Threads of Tomorrow CITO’s Foreword
Threads of Tomorrow | 0 2
We refined the admissions experience through UAS2 and GDA3, offering clearer, more intuitive pathways for undergraduate and graduate applicants These improvements help students begin their NUS journey with greater assurance. Beyond admissions, uNivUS continued to evolve as the University’s everyday digital gateway, while MoSAIC advanced and modernised our identity management by moving more users on to a secure and unified NUS-ID. Complementing these efforts, Person MDM strengthened the foundation for a single, consistent identity record throughout an individual’s NUS journey. Together, these initiatives underscore our shared commitment to a more connected, student-centred and future-ready ecosystem. The work highlighted here represents only a portion of NUS IT’s progress, yet it captures the spirit of collaboration and the collective effort across the academic cluster. These achievements have been made possible by the strong support of senior management, and through your guidance and leadership. Thank you for your continued partnership. In 2026, we look forward to strengthening our collaboration as we build on this foundation to create a modern, seamless and richly
connected NUS. Warm Regards, Shui-Min

Admissions – First Click, First Connection through UAS2 and GDA3
The NUS journey begins the moment students apply. This year, that first step became smoother, more intuitive and more reassuring with the enhanced University Admissions System 2 (UAS2) and the Graduate Admission System 3 (GDA3). UAS2 changes tasks that previously required multiple logins, scattered forms and manual checks to now go through a single, unified workflow. It provides undergraduate students with secure authentication and cleaner interfaces. An AI assistant built into selected forms offers instant guidance to aid faster decision-making while the connected backend systems quietly handle the complex work. Similarly, graduate applicants enjoy the same seamlessness through GDA3, which consolidates submissions, status tracking and offer acceptance into one polished space. New verification features powered by Parchment - a global credential management platform - strengthen the credibility of applications while keeping the process fast and interruption-free. “Transforming an institution-wide system was fostered by strong cross-department collaboration that enabled us to overcome challenges and drive the platform’s success. The recognition as a Gartner case study reaffirmed NUS’s position as a digital leader in higher education and validated the efforts of our teams!” - Ms Tan Shui-Min, Chief IT Officer, NUS
